The Lung Transplant Support Organization

As president of the Lung Transplant Support Organization (L.T.S.O.) I want to thank you for taking time to look over our website: www.GOTMASK.ORG. The organization started in 2007 with the help and ideas of a couple of the original transplant patients and their caregivers.

Our slogan is “Patients helping patients” and that’s what our organization and this website is all about. Earlier transplant recipients doing their best to pay it forward to those that are in the lung transplant process behind them; that’s what we do. That’s what our web site is about.

We are here to help you find suggestions and answers to questions that you might have before or after your lung transplant. We work directly with the lung transplant patients at the Heart and Lung Institute at St. Joseph’s Hospital, in Phoenix, but we are willing to provide information and share our experiences with transplant patients anywhere. We are grateful to help others receive this special gift.

The L.T.S.O. is an IRS 501c.3 non-profit charity. We work to raise funds to help offset some of the outside costs for the patients coming into the lung transplant program. These costs range from help with prescriptions to providing specialty medical devices that often aren’t covered by insurance, to helping with transportation costs for patients that otherwise could not afford this life saving gift. Our long term goal is to be able to provide housing to the out of area patients during their eight week stay here in the Phoenix area; after they receive their new lungs.

We are able to receive gifts and donations; which are tax deductible for the donor. Later in the website you will find information about our annual “Breath of Hope Charity Golf Tournament”; our primary fundraiser. We invite you to help us raise funds by playing, or by joining us for the luncheon or silent auction at the tourney in April of May each year. We are always looking for “hole” sponsors and donations from local businesses to make this tournament a success.

Please feel free to contact us through this website, or at 1-855-GOTMASK, with any questions you may have about your or one of your loved ones’ lung transplant. Also feel free to contact us if you would like to join us in helping others.

Thank you and best regards,

Norm Lydiard

L.T.S.O President

Message from the President

We provide emotional, financial and educational support to lung transplant patients and their caregivers. Having received the gift of a new life we are working to help others receive theirs as well.

We receive most of our funding from annual "Breath of Hope" charity golf tournaments. We are always looking for gifts in kind, sponsors, etc. We receive donations through the United Way and individual gifts.

We are the Lung Transplant Support Organization (LTSO) and we are here to help lung transplant patients and their caregivers at St. Joseph's Hospital in Phoenix. We have been helping since 2008.
